TravelSmart – Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads

February 26, 2013 · Travel & Transport

Management of the evaluation of world’s largest travel behaviour change program aimed at encouraging people to use sustainable travel modes such as public transport, walking, cycling, and carpooling.

A longitudinal program evaluation involving series of quantitative and qualitative research over a 3 year period.

Initially, the research provided a benchmark of travel behaviour, examining needs and motivations to choose a sustainable mode of transport. This was then followed by surveys and focus groups to provide insights into behaviour change and a measure of program effectiveness, as the program was rolled out in various areas across Queensland.
